Q: WHAT SETS HCI’S CAMPS APART?
A: All Wipeout and Sports Camps are held at our one-of-a-kind facility. We have designated sports courts, turf, climbing, and playscape areas for camps. We provide snacks and all camps are led by our trained staff to ensure attention to individual needs are met.
Q: WHAT CAN MY CHILDREN EXPECT FROM CAMP?
A: VARIETY! Each week, Wipeout Camps will have a different theme with corresponding activities while Sports Camps will work on the sport specified in the camp description. Our goal is for campers to try new activities, learn skills, build character, make friends, and have fun!
Q: WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN WIPEOUT CAMPS AND SPORTS CAMPS?
A: Wipeout Camp is our traditional day camp program (State licensed), while Sports Camps are sport-specific programs.
Q: DO I NEED TO REGISTER?
A: Yes! Space is limited, so please register early. Campers must be pre-registered to attend. No drop-ins will be available.
Our registration site is called ActiveNet. If you have never signed up for programs before, you may need to create your parent account and add your dependents.
Q: WHEN DO I NEED TO REGISTER?
A: Registration closes the Wednesday (Wipeout) or Friday (Sports) prior to camp starting if the capacity has not already been met. If the camp is full, you may register for the waitlist at no cost.
If spots open up, you may be contacted to finish camp registration.
Q: WHAT HAPPENS IF I MISS A FEW DAYS DURING THE CAMP?
A: We’re sorry you missed the fun! Unfortunately, we do not prorate or roll over missed camp days.
Q: DO I HAVE TO DROP MY KID(S) OFF AT 9AM AND PICK THEM UP AT 4PM?
A: Summer camps are here to provide flexibility for YOU. While standard full day camp hours are 9am-4pm, you are free to sign your kids in or out at any point throughout the camp times. Need to go to work early or stay late? We also offer extended hour upgrades, including 8-9am drop off times and 4-6pm pick up times.
Q: HOW DO YOU SPLIT THE CAMPERS UP INTO GROUPS?
A: Camp groups (cohorts) depend on the breakdown of ages of the kids that particular week. Groups are split to get the best of each individual and create a developmentally appropriate environment.
Q: WHAT IS HCI DOING IN REGARDS TO HEALTH & SAFETY?
A: At HCI our members, guests, and employees health and wellbeing are our top priorities. Camp Staff puts an emphasis on both physical and emotional safety of each child that attends camp.
Q: WHAT DO I DO IF MY CHILD TAKES MEDICATION OR NEEDS OTHER SPECIAL ACCOMMODATIONS?
A: Medication of any kind will NOT be administered by staff at HCI's camp programs. In case of illness, or if your child becomes ill at the program and must go home, we will notify parent/guardian as quickly as possible to pick up the child from the facility.
Mention any special needs or accommodations during registration.
Q: WHAT IS THE REFUND POLICY?
A: Cancellation and refund requests must be submitted in writing to the Camp Director 7 or more days in advance. Requests submitted within 7 days of camp starting are not eligible for a refund. A $35 admin fee will be retained for any refunds. Unattended camp days can not be prorated or rolled over.
