Athletic Performance Training

Hill Country Indoor will utilize a space dedicated to Athletic Performance Training in a variety of specialties including dynamic movement training, sport-specific instruction, skill development, team training, athletic assessment, and rehabilitation. Coaches will be highly educated and qualified in the field to ensure that training quality is at the finest level. Performance sessions can be purchased as an addition to any membership package or league participation.

For the competitive athlete, a regimen that incorporates performance sessions in addition to general sport-specific training will allow for a higher level of overall achievement. For individuals wanting to improve fitness and athleticism, coaches and instructors will be available for a variety of performance purposes. Individual and group athletic performance training offerings, coupled with versatile space and equipment, will provide the ultimate environment for achieving training goals.

Youth programs are designed and available for school-aged
individuals up through the end of high school.

Adult Programs are designed and available for adults
at an age beyond high school.

Hill Country Indoor Athletic Performance Training Facilities:

HCI has two areas within the facility dedicated to Athletic Performance Training

Hill Country Indoor has 5,000 sq.ft. of space dedicated to Athletic Performance and Group Training on the main floor of the facility. Coaches and instructors will lead a variety of fitness and athletic sessions for both adults and youth in this area.

Hill Country Indoor has a space dedicated to Team Performance Training below the turf field adjacent to the baseball and softball tunnels. The area will be outfitted with a variety of racks and weights along with a turf space for dynamic speed and agility instruction. Contact Matt Herring to discuss team training opportunities.

Special Events

Hill Country Indoor is excited for the opportunity to host special events related to performance training. Such events may include coaches’ clinics, combine testing, ultimate athlete competitions, educational demonstrations, and special guest appearances.

Matt Herring – Director of Performance

Matt spent the past 15 years as a college and professional strength and conditioning coach. He started his career at Oklahoma State University where the Cowboys won the Big 12 and advanced to a Final Four in NCAA Basketball. He then joined the staff at the University of Florida where they won multiple SEC titles and back to back NCAA National Championships. Herring moved on to the NBA as Director of Athletic Performance for the San Antonio Spurs, with an NBA Finals appearance. He returned to Austin as Director of Performance with Driven Performance and he is CSCS, MSCC, USAW and CES certified. Matt will oversee all aspects of performance in sports and team training.
